Autism & Neurodevelopmental

Specialized, Compassionate Support for Neurological Differences.

At Van Every Family Chiropractic Center, we have deep expertise and genuine passion for caring for children and adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), sensory processing differences, and other neurodevelopmental conditions. Our gentle, neurologically-focused approach helps optimize nervous system function, supporting better regulation, communication, and quality of life.

Autism and neurodevelopmental conditions are fundamentally neurological in nature. While chiropractic care does not "treat" or "cure" autism, it can profoundly support nervous system function. The nervous system controls everything, sensory processing, motor control, digestion, sleep, emotional regulation, and immune function. When spinal misalignments create interference, they disrupt the flow of information between brain and body. Removing that interference supports better overall function.

Important Note

Chiropractic care does not cure autism or other neurodevelopmental conditions. What it does is optimize nervous system function, which can support better overall function, improved quality of life, enhanced response to other therapies, and greater ease navigating daily life. We celebrate neurodiversity while supporting each child to function at their personal best.

How We Work with Your Child

Our doctors have dedicated his practice to caring for children with sensory and developmental differences, bringing unique expertise in working with the delicate nervous systems of neurodivergent individuals.

1

Getting Comfortable First

We listen to what your child is communicating, verbal or non-verbal, and adjust our approach accordingly. It's okay if the first visit is just getting comfortable in our space. We can do "practice visits" to build familiarity before any adjusting.

2

Comprehensive Neurological Assessment

We begin with a detailed consultation about your child's history and current challenges, followed by a gentle examination and non-invasive neurological testing at your child's pace. We provide a clear explanation of findings and recommendations.

3

Gentle, Precise Adjustments

Using Talsky Tonal Chiropractic and KST techniques, our doctors deliver extraordinarily gentle adjustments, often no more pressure than you'd use to test a ripe tomato, that are safe and comfortable even for newborns. We address areas of spinal tension creating nervous system interference, patterns of stored stress, and structural imbalances affecting neurological function. We coordinate with your child's other providers for comprehensive care.
